  • Our client, Pacific Technology Solutions (PTS), is passionate about providing private-cloud IT solutions to a wide range of high quality NZ and international customers.

    They operate enterprise-class infrastructure and networking via a globally distributed datacentre model. PTS have offices in Hamilton, Melbourne and Toronto and are creating exciting technology opportunities for both their team and customers across the globe.

    PTS have an opportunity at one of their blue chip customers, for an onsite support engineer based in Mount Wellington, Auckland.

    The customer is one of New Zealand’s largest food producers and employs over 200 staff across 6 sites in Auckland and Christchurch.

    The onsite support engineer will be supported by our team of IT professionals based in Hamilton, and will be responsible for local desktop and server support at the client’s premises in Auckland.

    The successful applicant will be mature and able to work autonomously and prioritise their work load. You need to have previously worked in customer environments, and who has a wide range of experience across a variety of technology stacks.

    You will get to work with enterprise-class technologies and IT solutions, work on some very interesting projects, and be part of the decision making process for improvements and smarter ways to deliver outstanding service.

    To apply for this role, you will have :

  • A minimum of 3 5 years related work experience
  • Be able to demonstrate your ability to communicate with senior management and end users
  • Have a desire to document processes and procedures
  • Solid experience with the implementation and management of Microsoft and HP products (desktop and server)
  • A good understanding of network technologies and Cisco and Ruckus products
  • Proven ability to own and deliver technical initiatives and projects
  • Effective time management and communication skills
  • A great personality and desk side manner
  • Ability to work autonomously, but also take direction from senior management
  • Showing initiative and maturity in this role will be the key to success, and your passion for great customer service outcomes will be one of your primary drivers.
