Our Maintenance and Engineering (M&E) Team are thepassionate and dedicated people who keep our system operating by maintaining,repairing and monitoring the technology and systems that help keep our hospitalsrunning.

The Role : Where you fit in

Inthis role, you will be responsible for the following :

  • Monitoring and performance optimisation of allbuilding systems including all digitally controlled, mechanical,electrical / electronic, safety, heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, steam,condensate, compressed air, medical gas and other reticulated piped systems.
  • Planned, conditional and defect maintenance andrepairs of electrical and control building systems associated with CDHB sites.
  • The specification and requisition of materials asrequired.
  • Assisting other trade staff on any type of work asrequired.
  • Your skills will include the following :

  • The ability and knowledge to use appropriate toolsto diagnose, repair and install electrical controls, industrial motor controlcentres and programmable logic controllers.
  • The ability to work from technical drawings andinterpret control strategies.
  • Skills to interpret the data from BMS to ensuresystems are fully operational.
  • The knowledge to ensure compliance with allstatutory and regulatory requirements as they relate to facilities, plant andservices in a health environment.
