An exciting opportunity has become available to assist our Information Management team for a fixed term period of six months.

You will be based at our busy archives site in Banks Street.

In this role you will :

  • Manage acquisition, storage, access, retention and disposal of physical and digital information and archives
  • Index and catalogue physical and digital records and digital information
  • Maintain document and records management in Council’s information systems
  • Support the team with accurate transformation of digitalisation of records
  • To be considered for this opportunity some experience in information, document and records management is preferred, with an ability to learn new processes and systems quickly and a competency in using the MS Office suite of applications.

    You will have strong time management skills and the ability to work unsupervised and with an eye for detail.

    You will need :

  • archival or library qualification or equivalent experience
  • previous knowledge with archives, electronic document and records management systems
  • a high level of competency in MS Office
  • experience with IT projects within an Information Management or in an Archives environment is desirable
  • to be physically fit for frequent lifting and storing of archive boxes
