Thisis a critical role at our timber mill in Kawerau where you’ll actively buildsound relationships with our site team to enable effective and timely decisionsfor predictive, preventative and planned shuts.

Working4x10 hour days Friday through to Monday will provide you the remainder of theweek to enjoy golf and fishing in the beautiful Bay of Plenty.

You’lldevelop and maintain the weekend shut process, maintenance plans and systemsincluding the site CMMS and actively analyse and report on the maintenanceunit’s performance.

Keytasks include :

  • Keeping people safe,running toolbox meetings / sorting permits / checking isolations
  • Planning & continuousimprovement of shuts and maintenance
  • Co-ordinating shut tasksincluding corrective work and preventative maintenance
  • Ensuring people get workcompleted, solving staff queries
  • Checking workmanship, auditingwork and site tidy up is completed to standard
  • Follow up work orders are processedin the system for the following weeks work
  • Various reporting functionsto assist the maintenance team in making effective decisions
  • It’senvisaged you’ll have a trade background and experience and understanding inshuts ensuring the allocation of jobs, parts and people are delivered to meettargets.

    Solid exposure in a process maintenance environment, maintenance best practice and lean manufacturing will be highly regarded.

    Estimatingand scheduling maintenance shutdowns, preparing and reporting againstmaintenance budgets and an awareness of RCM principles and other maintenancestrategy tools are also necessary.

    You’llimpress us with your excellent communication and organisation skills, sounddatabase and computer skills and your natural ability to communicateeffectively to gain buy in with people across all levels of the business.

    Mustbe able to think on your feet, resolve issues and find ways of fixing thingsthat are found broken quickly, plans change so the requirement to be flexible and open tojuggling multiple tasks to get shut list completed on time and prioritise is a must.

    Our Mill is in Eastern Bay of Plenty and an easy commute froma number of large towns including Whakatane, Rotorua and Tauranga. This area has it all.
