The Senior Construction Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all costs relating to projects assigned to you, from agreed feasibility budget through to the final account settlement.

You will primarily be working on residential projects of $0.5-$7M.

In order to be successful in this role you will need to possess a strong eye for detail and the ability to complete projects on time and within budget.

The ability to travel within New Zealand, as and when required is also necessary.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Responsible for a variety of construction projects including civil and infrastructure works, residential buildings and projects of a more commercial nature such as village centres and larger apartment buildings
  • Provide effective and accurate estimates by establishing cost benchmarking, annual reviews and analysis of historical information
  • Coordinate and evaluate tenders
  • Who / what are we looking for?

  • Extensive Quantity Surveying experience, approximately 15 years plus as construction QS dealing with civil & infrastructure works and commercial builds to be fully competent
  • Up to date knowledge of construction techniques, methodologies and typologies
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification. Preferably BSc Quantity Surveying
  • Extensive Quantity Surveying experience, approximately 5 years as construction QS
  • Integrity, being a straight person of their word
