Description

Our Continuous Computing Practice provides specialist platform, infrastructure, network and software services to our customers.

The team of experienced engineers and consultants engage on the design, implementation and management of customer ICT environments based on on-premises, cloud and mobile platforms.

We are looking for a Field Engineer with strong server, cloud and desktop technical experience to join the team in Auckland.

You will be involved in platform and systems engineering, consulting and support. As an experienced engineer, you will work with the team and the Theta practices to deliver technical services to our customers.

This will include remote and on-site support services.

In this role we expect you to be part of activities to provide continuous environment optimisation, as well as be an active part of the new projects' lifecycle.

You will have at least 6 years of relevant experience, in the following areas :

  • Working with IT enterprise Microsoft environments including on-premises and cloud platforms
  • Experience implementing and operating secure desktop, server and hybrid environments
  • Experience with a wide variety of related technologies and cloud services
  • Experience with Microsoft modern desktop environments including the M365 product suites, and Office 365 using industry best practice security standards
  • Knowledge of IT operational configuration and management for always-up, always-available services
  • Experience working with network configuration management and tools
  • Hands on experience with MS SCCM / SCOM, Intune / MDM, Azure App Services an advantage
  • Advanced Skills with scripting such as PowerShell, ARM templates, Perl, Bash, Python
  • Implementation, operational management and support of Linux operating systems and platforms an advantage
  • Current Linux and MS / AWS cloud certifications an advantage
  • Significant commercial and hands-on experience providing IT services
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, a knack for problem solving and a passion for ensuring clients receive exceptional quality of service is a must.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and projects, reliability and availability are some of the key requirements of this role
