The Central Marketing Organization (CMO) plays a pivotal role within the marketing and operations (M&O) organisation. CMO’s deep marketing capabilities and expertise drives the Area’s growth agenda.

The CMO leverages data-driven customer and marketing insights to develop innovative go-to-market (GTM) campaigns, leveraging global customer nurture programs, digital events, social marketing all delivered through world-class multi-channel marketing platforms.

The CMO is a strategic partner within the commercial business across all customer and partner segments, industry segments, and solutions to design, develop and deliver integrated marketing strategies and programs that will drive business impact.

We are looking for a seasoned Integrated Marketing Manager (IMM) - to join the Central Marketing Organization (CMO). This role requires deep marketing expertise and the ability to combine strong business thinking, seasoned marketing leadership with marketing automation experience, digital marketing competency and the ability to masterfully leverage global programs in Australia & New Zealand.

This role will work closely with our Modern Work Business Group and provide strategic oversight over integrated marketing for the B2B Microsoft Surface device business.

Responsibilities

The purpose of this role

As a strong advocate for connected sales and marketing, you lead the connection between CMO and our internal Sales teams (Enterprise and Small, Medium, and Corporate (SMC)) and drive integration and alignment with the Partner team (GPS).

You drive your Area and team to smartly maximize local marketing investments by fully exploiting all global content and marketing services, and augmenting local work aligned to global strategies.

You are the key local point of contact for the Corporate demand generation team and responsible for landing and evangelizing the global marketing strategy locally, as well as providing local feedback and insights on landing. You will :

  • Deliver marketing impact against key business goal by acquiring and nurturing leads and supporting consumption
  • Drive connections across key stakeholders to increase impact
  • Lead executional Excellence and alignment to global processes and compliance
  • You will also lead engagement with CMO Shared Services in Events, Digital and Data & Insights to align local executions across all marketing channels and ensure all activities are set up properly in our tools and systems to enable tracking, reporting and local optimization.

    What skills do you need to have?

    There will be many opportunities for you to learn and grow into this role and Microsoft. However, to be able to best deliver on the purpose of this role, these are the core skills and experiences you should have on day one :

    The ideal candidate is a strong marketing leader with experience in industry and BDM audience marketing for a B2B tech company.

    You will demonstrate and model for your team, deep understanding of marketing insights dashboards and surface opportunities, drive marketing planning decisions with local stakeholders and lead connected sales and marketing discussions with Sales.

    You have a strong customer focus with a drive to deliver the best solutions for our customers. You enjoy being continually challenged in a multifaceted, matrixed, and constantly evolving environment.

  • Marketing management experience in technology. Preferably experience in leadership and strong penchant for driving revenue outcomes.
  • Recognized talent attractor, developer and exporter.

  • Experience in executing global marketing strategies and landing augmented breadth and depth efforts at regional scale.
  • Strong analytical capabilities to measure business performance and ability to quickly make smart business trade-offs.
