About the role
Located on Auckland’s North Shore and reporting to the Materials Planning Manager, the Production Planner will be part of a collaborative supply chain team.
This position will be involved in the following :
Work with management in coordinating and planning production activities to improve runtime.
Plan production tasks and schedules according to customer orders
Monitor the execution of production plan
Escalate complex issues to Manager for resolution
Investigate production job problem, analyse root causes and provide solutions.
Analyse back orders, current orders and upcoming orders to prioritise, plan and schedule the production jobs required to support operations.
Raise and mange job works orders ensuring their accurate and effective WIP management and closure.
Coordinate with managers in planning & implementing engineering changes in production lines.
Adhere to company standards and production policies to meet company objectives
Maintain reports for job works, orders WIP and variances with reasons etc
Skills & experience
We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, strong customer-orientated delivery focus and proven time management skills.
Our ideal candidate will also have :
3-5 years production planning experience in a similar role
Proven knowledge of purchasing concepts, processes, activities and trends.
Problem solving skills.
Strong customer service acumen to deal with internal and external customers and suppliers.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Excel competency, needs to be intermediate and be able to use pivot tables etc.
