Position : Platform Engineer Linux / Windows

About the Role

Joining our AI Ops team, you will work collaboratively to support the teams that maintain the day-to-day operations of our clients applications and servers, ensuring systems are running to an optimal level to meet required SLAs.

As Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for the implementing automation initiatives relating to infrastructure development, operations, and services.

What you’ll do

As Platform Engineer, you will :

Develop a complex understanding of customer business problems and work to solve issues through good industry automation practices

Providing technical support and expertise, respond to feedback, and actively participate in future technology road mapping as well as maintain & support current solutions

Manage core infrastructure, implement, and maintain tooling and automation around the core strategy that is being planned for by Senior Platform Engineers

Keeping up to date with current industry trends and adjusting engineering practices in accordance with these as suited to customer needs

Adhering to the standards of the group code repositories

What you’ll bring

Our ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with 10+years’ relevant experience, working with a diverse range clients and technologies. You will possess :

Knowledge and experience with delivery and deployment across varying project methodologies

Strong understanding and experience working on Linux and / or Windows server platforms

Understanding of containerisation Kubernetes concepts and design

Prior experience deploying software and applying configuration management updates in a DevOps environment

Working understanding of public cloud technologies

Developed problem solving and analytical skills

Experience in Python and / or Powershell scripting would be highly advantageous

Relevant industry certifications
