AWS Industry Products (AWS IP) is a new engineering organization chartered to build new AWS products by applying Amazon’s innovation mechanisms along with AWS digital technologies to real world industry problems.

Globally, the power grid is undergoing rapid changes in demand for electricity driven by shifts to low-carbon technologies, such as electric vehicles (EV), behind-the-meter batteries, and renewable generation from solar and wind.

Our Energy and Sustainability team is working closely with customers to dynamically optimize power grids, and better integrate cleaner renewable sources of energy that reduce carbon emissions and curb climate change.

We are passionate about delivering massive improvements to grid efficiency, reducing clean energy capital expenditures and consumer costs, and delivering greener and more accessible energy availability world-wide.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will work with a multi-disciplinary team of software developers, subject matter experts, solutions architects, usability researchers, and builders to design, build, and evangelize, new products and services that will help grid operators meet the demands of tomorrow’s net carbon zero market.

We’re looking for an technology veteran and product innovator who will lead exploration with c-suite executives, raise the product technology bar, make strategic trade-offs between short erm opportunity and long term sustainable industry change, think holistically about the product landscape, incubate game-changing technology in the face of ambiguous and sometimes shifting requirements, and generally GSD Get Stuff Done!

4+ years of experience as a technical product lead for customer facing digital products

Track record of end-to-end product delivery and direct customer collaboration

Demonstrated ability to engage and influence engineering and product leaders

  • Verbal and written communications skills, and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiencesAnalytical and quantitative skills;
  • ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and make data-driven decisions


    MBA or equivalent relevant business experience

    Business acumen and instinct with strong analytical and quantitative skills

    Ability to develop complex delivery projects, multi-party business justifications including financial modelling and business transformation scenarios

    Track record of delivering business and technology results for complex, cross-functional initiatives while managing multiple competing priorities
