Conduct research into potential business customers prior to making contact in order to understand the business’s likely ICT needs and provide a targeted and qualified sales pitch.
Maintain a sound understanding of the products and services on offer (including Broadband e.g., Cloud-based platforms ( PBX), SIP Solutions, LAN, WAN, IS (business grade internet service), Cloud Data Service and Carrier Ethernet Technology and of ICT products generally, particularly in so far as they relate to the needs of business customers.
Attend training sessions and educational workshops and utilize networking opportunities with a view to maintaining professional and technical knowledge.
Remain up-to-date with industry trends, market activities and competitors’ products, services, pricing and promotional offers with a view to identifying possible product and service improvements and making suggestions as appropriate.
Meet with new business customers (whether as the result of cold calling, canvassing, networking or lead generation) and use your technical knowledge to evaluate their ICT needs and introduce and explain the products, services and opportunities which will best meet those needs.
Actively promote and, where applicable, upsell the client’s ICT products and services (including specials and promotions) with a view to achieving and maintaining acceptable sales performance goals.
Provide quotes and negotiate prices and credit terms, ensuring customers understand applicable terms and conditions.Implement sales strategies to close sales.
Regularly meet and otherwise initiate contact with existing business customers in order to monitor and ensure their satisfaction, resolve any technical or other problems which may have arisen and introduce new ICT products and services, with a view to developing long-
term business relationships.Make arrangements with the client for the provision of products and services to the customer, being available to provide technical assistance to customers in relation to set up and management (including broadband, networking, routers, switches, wireless signals, cloud pbx , IP configuration, VPN setup and management).
Regularly report to management on sales made and deliver accurate sales forecasts in line with business objectives if required.
Utilize CRM software GEO SALES and Sales Pipeline Management applications to record your interaction with current and potential customers, using it as a tool for quality assurance, customer retention and the driving of sales growth.
Skills , experience and Qualification : Due to the technical nature of this role, an IT / computing -related qualification at level 7 or above or relevant experience in the ICT industry is essential.
Experience in Direct Sales is preferred.Previous experience in an ICT or technical sales role is an advantage.Must have a high level of ICT product knowledge, especially in so far as it relates to the needs of business customers e.
g., networking, routers, switches, wireless signals, IP configuration, VPN setup and managementExcellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Strong negotiation and relationship building skills.Ability to work both independently and as a team in order to achieve and exceed sales targets.
Ability to explain complex technical information to non-technical customers.Strong organizational and time management skills.
Familiarity with relevant legislation e.g., Fair Trading Act 1986.Experience in the use of CRM software and Sales Pipeline Management Applications an advantage but not essential.Job Type : Full-time
