    Geneva Healthcare's Community Living service supports adults with physical and intellectual disabilities in in-home environments across NZ.

    We are currently seeking a Support Worker for a vacancy based in Hamilton, working with high needs clients across four houses.

    If you have worked in this area of health, you already understand the daily challenges they face.

    Some of our clients have high complex personal and intellectual cares so it is a requirement you hold a minimum level 3 New Zealand qualification with a solid history of employment within this sector.

    This role includes driving passengers as our clients often enjoy community outings. It is imperative you have confidence to drive a manual van and hold a full New Zealand Drivers licence.

    Encouraging independence and hearing the voices of our clients is a focus of our service, you will be naturally passionate to support clients to live their best lives.

    This position operates on a rostered basis, with an opportunity to become more permanent. You are provided with notice about up coming shifts, which are generally between 5 and 8 hours long.

    You must be available to work weekends, evenings and night shifts

  • You will need to have :

  • A full drivers licence with the ability to drive a manual van with confidence and at least 2 years’ experience
  • Flexibility to work on a rotating roster
  • A minimum of a level 3 qualification within New Zealand Healthcare
  • Experience working with people with disabilities for a minimum of one year
  • Extensive personal cares experience, and hoisting(Please note you must be a resident of this country to apply for this position)
