Parliamentary Library - Research Resources Librarians

We're looking for two lively and inquisitive go-getters to join our Research Resources team.

This role will see you help to manage the Library's print and online collections, supporting the Library systems and databases.

You'll enjoy coaching and training your colleagues and customers to get the most out of the Library's resources, as well as working rostered shifts in the Library's research service, helping customers and staffing the reference desk.

The ideal candidate will :

  • Build great customer and team relationships
  • Enjoy taking on new challenges
  • Have great communication skills
  • Be inquisitive - with a problem-solving approach
  • Remain calm under pressure
  • Research Resources Librarians work together to cover a wide range of technical expertise. Experience with collection management, training, cataloguing, or database trouble-

    shooting would be an advantage. Note that this is a library, not a research position.

    A library qualification or relevant experience, and New Zealand residency are required for this position.
