ABOUT THE ORGANISATION

Capital and Coast DHB (CCDHB) is located centrally in Wellington and has the equivalent of around 4,300 full time staff, making us a major employer in the Wellington region.

We are also the leading provider of a number of specialist services, including neurosurgery, oncology, neonatal intensive care, and specialised mental health services, for the upper South and lower North Islands, a population of about 900,000 people.

Our DHB has an annual budget of more than $1 billion, which we use to deliver health services directly and contract external providers to provide care, such as general practices, rest homes and pharmacists.

CCDHB operates Wellington Regional Hospital in Newtown and Kenepuru Hospital in Porirua as well as the Kapiti Health Centre in Paraparaumu.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our learning management system is central to the development of skills and knowledge of our staff throughout our hospitals (and beyond).

We’re looking for someone to be the heart of our on-line learning environment, making it hum and grow. You’ll be part of an awesome and diverse team, with real purpose.

Maybe you’re a bit of an LMS expert looking to apply your skills where they’ll really makes a difference. Or maybe you’ve got experience in learning and development, great with IT systems and looking for a new challenge.

Definitely you enjoy solving problems and making things work, helping and influencing people, ticking through the tasks, and you don’t mind the occasional gory health photo.

DUTIES

  • Build and maintain course and system content
  • Support course builders, clinical educators, and individual learners
  • Resolve issues and manage system improvements
  • Advise on use of the system and design of online courses
  • Provide reporting and data maintenance
  • SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Learning management systems administration or similar
  • Adult learning design and delivery
  • Writing online content
