What will you do?

Here at Enable New Zealand we're focused on sharing information in a clear and concise way at the right time to those who need it, in a way they can understand it.

This means we need to stay connected with our various internal and external audiences across a variety of mediums. As a result we are looking for a Content Specialist to join our team to support the Marketing and Communications Specialist in delivering Enable New Zealand’s Marketing and Communications activity.

To continue building and enhancing the Enable New Zealand brand and reputation as the provider of choice for disability support services you will apply your creative writing flair to generate fresh and dynamic content that will be used in a variety of channels and delivered to various audiences.

You'll be responsible for Digital Content Management, the development and implementation of content on websites and other digital platforms.

This will require coordinating and integrating the work of writers to help produce a final layout and content that is consistent, current and compatible with corporate standards.

Key to this role is supporting the Marketing and Communications Specialist to deliver content, materials and activities which promote the organisation’s services, supporting the achievement of key business objectives and priorities.

This will require the planning, leading and execution of marketing and communication projects. Working collaboratively you will assist with campaigns and events that promote services with the aim of acquiring new customers.

So who are you? As a content specialist, you will have :

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and / or Communications, Digital Media, Computer Science or relevant field
  • At least two years relevant work experience, ideally in a corporate or agency setting with proven copywriting and copyediting skills, able to demonstrate an intermediate understanding of digital content and user experience
  • Successful experience in content production and projects, with a reputation for delivering work which balances users’ and business needs
  • Experience working with and across multiple teams, as a highly effective communicator and influencer, able to facilitate and collaborate with a wide variety of stakeholders to deliver result
  • A clear understanding of marketing and basic project management principles with proven ability to manage multiple projects and brands at any given time and deliver a marketing programme
  • A solutions and achievement focus with an eye for detail and demonstrated ability to work under pressure
  • Outstanding presentation, writing and oral communication skills with knowledge of sound ways to inform audiences through written, oral and visual media
  • Empathy and listening skills, able to effectively communicate information and ideas
  • An ability to interpret, analyse and apply statistical information
  • Computer literacy on an advanced level, knowledge of digital and social media technology with basic understanding of HTML and web publishing
  • Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods
  • Familiarity with principles and processes for providing customer services, including customer requirements assessments, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

    General Information

    MidCentral District Health Board employs more than 2500 staff at Manawatu, Palmerston North, Tararua and Horowhenua and Otaki districts.

    Palmerston North Hospital is a 350 bed secondary hospital, which services an urban population of 80,000 and a total population catchment of 168,000.

    In addition, the hospital is a teaching hospital, and is associated with both Auckland and Otago medical schools.

    Palmerston North is a major university city and is at the hub of key routes to the central North Island ski fields, and river adventures.

    Wellington the capital city, is only a two hour journey by road, as are the wine growing regions of Hawke's Bay and Wairarapa.
