    About the role

    Kingsgate Te Anau has a unique opportunity to join the team in a split role Housekeeping Supervisor / Night Porter , We are seeking an individual who has proven Hotel experience, in housekeeping.

    Key responsibilities

  • Complete daily allocated task assignments for all housekeeping staff
  • Ensure room allocations are complete in a timely, efficient and effective manner
  • Assist in training and supervision of Housekeeping team members
  • Perform routine inspections of all checked out and occupied rooms, service areas and corridors and assist in the management of the departments Health and Safety
  • Ensure effective communication with Front Office in relation to room changes, arrivals and departures
  • Taking, preparing, collecting and delivering Room Service orders
  • Storage and handling of guest luggage and property
  • Cleaning the public and back of house areas
  • Assisting guests with queries
  • Attending to all incoming calls in a professional and polite manner

  • Key Skills & Experience

  • Ability to work weekends and nights is essential
  • Previous Housekeeping Supervisory experience
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Good understanding of Housekeeping budgeting
  • Problem solving skills
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Attention to detail
  • Relevant degree in hospitality, business or people management
