We're looking for a passionate and collaborative engineering leader to join Pushpay as our Vice President of Engineering.
The VP role leads our entire engineering function (100+ employees) and reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer.
The Engineering teams are globally dispersed across 3 locations - Auckland, New Zealand as well as Redmond, Washington and Colorado Springs, Colorado within the United States.
The VP works closely with the CTO, C-Suite and Board of Directors to set the strategy, tone and direction of the engineering organisation.
The VP is supported by a strong bench of well established Engineering Directors and Managers. You'll partner closely with our Product team on our product roadmaps and collaborate with our other divisions.
This role oversees all aspects of leadership for the engineering team, including strategy, budget responsibility, development, recruitment and engagement.
The VP of Engineering is responsible for leading the full lifecycle of application development for Pushpay's product lines - from early product concept and technical design through production uptime and stability to product security.
The role has budget and cost responsibility for the engineering department. Further, this role is an important part of the company's senior leadership team and is a significant leader in the company's Auckland office.
What you should have : Prior experience leading software development at scale (manager of manager, staff of >
25 developers across multiple teams) or equivalentExperience and familiarity with high availability, high uptime operations environments.
Prior experience leading or significantly contributing to department budgeting processesSignificant leadership experiences and demonstrated success in at least one of the following : Application development (web or mobile), DevOps / SRE practice, or SecurityDemonstrated ability to attract, engage and retain talent.
The ideal candidate may also have : Past experience in SaaS companies, within product or engineeringPast managerial experience in a publicly traded companyExperience working with or managing globally distributed teamsExperience in a field related to Pushpay's industry, such as FinTech, Non-profit donations or faith verticals.
