  • Work for one of Wellingtons largest employers, this is an internal development office where the role of the team is to enhance and develop facilities.

    The Facilities Manager is responsible for managing the delivery of hard and soft Facilities Management services across a portfolio of buildings, ensuring the buildings are well maintained, are safe, meet the requirements of the building users and that maintenance services support the achievement of the businesses Strategic Asset Management Plan.

    This is a critical customer facing role, responsible for managing key stakeholder relationships with buildings occupiers under their management.

    To be considered you would ideally have come from a previous Facilities Management background and had experience of the below :

  • Establish strong working relationships with key representatives of the building users, meeting with them formally or informally as required by each representative.
  • Operate as a single point of contact for building users within your portfolio of buildings for Facilities Management or Property Services queries, referring any non-Facilities Management queries to the appropriate team members and following up to ensure the building users queries are closed out.
  • Responsible for managing the delivery of hard and soft Facilities Management services within your assigned buildings, providing clear direction for contractors working within your buildings.
  • Monitor the effectiveness and timeliness of services undertaken within your buildings, proactively working with contractors at an operational level to generate efficiency, performance or value-for-money gains where possible.
  • Responsible for the operational management of contractors undertaking works within the Facilities Managers assigned portfolio of buildings (e.
  • g. arranging access to restricted areas).

  • Assist the Customer Service and Contracts Manager in the management of all contractor relationships, escalating or involving the Customer Service and Contracts Manager in any commercial aspects (e.
  • g. performance, variations, or failure to meet contractual requirements).
