Auckland City, AucklandAbout the opportunityOur client is a highly respected, family owned company based in North Shore Auckland and they are looking for an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Officer.

Due to their continuous growth, their needing a confident and organised individual to join their EHS team.Role DescriptionThis role entails working within the EHS team and providing support throughout the business, with focus on continued improvement and driving of group and statutory compliance.

They are wanting someone who is hard working, flexible and has a high attention to detail.Responsibilities include : Review incidents, identify preventive actions and ensure adequacy of the close outDevelop and deliver EHS training / awareness coursesFacilitate the collection, monitoring and reporting of EHS statistics and internal reportingVerify and maintain compliance with internal and external EHS requirementsProvide support in the development of EHS management systemUndertake active occupational monitoring i.

e. noise, vibration, COSHH etc. within the workplaceCarry out site / workshops inspections, compliance audits and monitor the closeout of non-conformancesMonitor energy, waste data and maintain environmental recordsThis role would suit someone with the following background / experience / qualitiesMinimum 3-5 experience years in an EHS advisory roleProven skills and experience in asbestos removal / demolition environmentUnderstanding of ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001(ISO 45001) and ISO 14001Experience in the undertaking of site and process EHS and quality auditing and inspectionAble to challenge poor practice and recommend cost effective solutionsProficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, Publisher)Qualifications required : International NEBOSH or New Zealand equivalentAbout the companyOur client has been supplying innovative asbestos management, consulting and removal solutions to their customers for almost 28 years.
