Fixed term (2 years), 37.5 hours per week

Are you passionate about making a difference to the quality of life within this great small city? We are seeking a full time, fixed-term Team Leader - Community Development to fill this role while a valued staff member takes long term leave.

You will work collaboratively with community and government organisations, and other Council departments, to achieve the outcomes of the DCC Strategic Framework.

Experience working in the community, government or local government sectors would be an advantage, and a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi is a must.

In this role you will provide advice, information and support on community development practice, funding and Council policies and processes.

Operationally you will be responsible for supervising seven staff as they deliver programmes and projects to support social, economic, and environmental wellbeing outcomes.

Experience administering grants or applying for funding would be an advantage.

You'll bring exceptional stakeholder management skills, an eye for detail and a passion for getting things done on time, within budget and to the highest standard.

If you're a Team Leader with at least five years' experience managing and supervising staff as well as delivering projects, then this may be the role for you.

Salary Range : $75,404 - $88,710
