Job DescriptionBased out of our Auckland, NZ premises, the Procurement Manager will aide in creating saving opportunities accross our NZ businesses, as well as implementing and supporting a group purchasing strategy and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
Creation of saving opportunities : Project management of active cost saving and efficiency projects soliciting competitive bids through requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for quotations (RFQs) and requests for information (RFIs)Benchmarking of products and services used by the operations against group best practiceBenchmarking of consumable, equipment and logistics costs against group best practiceMonitoring of supplier metrics in order to achieve agreed savings targets.
Local cost saving and efficiency projectsSupplier relationship management : Maintaining strong supplier relationships.Maintaining a contract database renew / negotiate new contractsDriving payment terms to Group standards with all local suppliersDefining and implementing supplier evaluation process and methodologyManaging supplier catalogue and price list.
