    The details : Permanent, 20 hours per week (0.5FTE)

    About the role :

    The Allied Health Outpatient Physiotherpy Department at Waikato Hospital has a permanent, part time clinical typing position available.

    We are seeking an experienced clinical typist who will be responsible for delivering efficient and accurate transcription services for the Allied Health area.

    The role offers a flexible working environment with the option of working onsite or from home.

    Required skills & experience :

  • Good communication skills, high attention to detail and a fresh and positive attitude
  • Competent typing skills.
  • A good understanding of medical terminology or an enthusiastic desire to learn this skill
  • Previous medical typing experience would be a definite advantage
  • Sound knowledge of English, including spelling and grammar
  • Knowledge of office systems including digital dictation systems
  • Accurate entry of confidential medical information
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Adaptability, versatility and the ability to cope with change and meet new challenges
  • Willingness to work as a team member

    The aim of phsyiotherapy is to help a person develop, maintain, restore or optimise their physical functioning and therefore their wellbeing and quality of life.

    Physiotherapists are specialised registered health practitioners who assess, diagnose and manage human function, most often with people compromised by ageing, injury, disease or environmental factors.
