    About the role :

    We're seeking a Claims Assessor to join the BNZ Insurances team. With a focus on providing a quality customer experience you'll be part of a small team assessing and managing customer life insurance claims.

    The core purpose of this position is to assess customer life insurance claims. You will be a key point of contact for claims related enquiries and will be actively communicating with customers for the duration of their claim.

  • Proactively communicate with customers and ensure an optimal customer experience whilst dealing with different types of claims.
  • Assess claims, make recommendations based on the outcome of the assessment and ensure all frameworks and processes are adhered to.
  • Contribute to a constructive and service based culture that encourages open and honest discussions, celebrates success and identifies better ways of doing things.
  • Support and participate in implementing continuous improvements across the team and wider business.
  • About you :

    To be our next Claims Assessor you'll already have life insurance experience and enjoy the buzz of a busy team environment.

    You'll be familiar with process improvement and have a strong background in customer service. You'll also be adaptable to change and have good technical skills.

  • Experience managing and assessing sensitive claims is preferred
  • Proactive communicator who builds rapport easily with customers with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Great with time management and exceptional attention to detail - you can juggle multiple priorities with ease.
  • Able to handle complex enquiries.
  • A team player, including the ability to be flexible in a small team.
