EPIC EMR is used for easy and accuracy
Responsibilities & Duties
Reasonable patient load of 16-18 / day, no more than 20 per day, as Stanford focuses on high quality care.
Develop personal relationships with patients.
Create patient-specific health programs that make use of historical data
Monitor and adapt individualized health programs over time
Schedule and administer follow-up examinations
Make use of patient health data in medical analyses
Offer comprehensive wellness exams
Perform medical operations
Recommend specialists for treatment outside of their capacity
Educate patients in health management and disease prevention
Perform physical evaluations on adult patients who are seeking medical attention for injuries, illness or other medical concerns
Order screening tests and other measures that aid in the diagnostic process, and review reports, labs, x-rays, EKGs and all other screening methods
Customize a treatment plan unique to each patient’s symptoms and diagnosis
Perform minor procedures, both surgical and non-surgical, as needed
Prescribe medication as part of a treatment plan in accordance to federal and state laws, and perform drug and disease utilization reviews on a regular basis to ensure quality treatment of patients and to avoid any drug and / or therapy conflicts
Attend regular meetings involving professionals who are a part of the health care team
Follow protocol set by the directors of the health clinic, adhering to medical ethics and standards, and provide recommendations in updating protocol if needed
Experience & Skills
1-2 years clinical experience handling procedures outlined in job description
Experience using EPIC EMR is highly preferred. Training available
Excellent written and spoken communication skills
Caring, attentive nature
Good interpersonal skills
Excellent quantitative skills.
Education / Credentials
Medical Degree with unrestricted CA License
Board Certified, Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (required) or may consider Board Eligible for recent grad
