Learning Management System Specialist
Wellington City Council
Wellington CBD, New Zealand
1m ago

If you've been waiting for an opportunity to lead a transformation, now's your chance. We're after the kind of transformation that can take our Learning Management System from good to amazing.

This senior-level, strategic role is more than a system administrator gig; it's an exciting opportunity to transform the LMS from being the "system for eLearning" to a fully integrated, much-loved and well-used learning technology that underpins the learning organisation we aspire to be.

This is the golden moment for a highly motivated, very capable person to really shape our LMS and make their mark. This person will consolidate and build on the work done so far, as well as designing and implementing an LMS strategy and roadmap that will support talent management and development, induction, technical learning pathways, our core capability framework, communities of practice and more.

To do this, you'll need to be a critical thinker that can go from an immediate problem solver to a long term strategic view of the LMS, and back again.

Sometimes in the same day! To learn more about the team you would be working in, click through to this information sheet.

There's lots of growth in this role - from your first day on the job you have the opportunity to really lead and shape how the LMS is used at Wellington City Council, and how it can be an integral part of our learning ecosystem.

You'll be able to influence the way learning is designed and delivered at Council, through your thought leadership and that tendency you have to add value in everything you do.

The right person for this role has strengths in

  • Strategic thinking
  • Planning and organising
  • Achieving results
  • Stakeholder management
  • Persuading and influencing
  • LMS systems administration (or similar)
  • As well as the transformation and strategy aspects, you will need to look after the LMS, completing a range of tasks from quite basic to advanced.

If you have any questions, please contact Aleena Antony, Talent Acquisition Partner at aleena.antony wcc.govt.nz, otherwise please send a covering letter explaining why you're the LMS specialist we've been waiting for, along with your CV which outlines your relevant experience and successes.

Applications without cover letters will not be considered.

Applications close Sunday 16 August 2020.
