  • Northpower has an exciting opportunity for a Project Supervisor to lead and coordinate contracting projects for the Hamilton depot.

    The role

    This role is responsible for managing the delivery of contracting projects to meet customer requirements safely, on time, within budget and to Client and Northpower quality standards.

    As a Project Supervisor you will guide projects through execution phase, liaising closely with all key parties, planning, managing resource and compliance.

    You will be responsible for supervising the team, running day to day requirements, ensuring work is delivered safely and in a timely fashion.

    Through strong stakeholder and people management skills, you will be able to get people and resources moving in the right direction at the required pace, negotiate obstacles and address issues appropriately.

    You will be working with resources assigned on a project-by-project basis, utilising your strong organisational skills to ensure that they are applied most effectively.

    Personal responsibility and a high level of ownership will be important for success. If you are a good communicator, a team-

  • Co-ordinate and manage projects
  • Reporting to financials and managing budgets
  • Manage documentation across multiple stakeholders
  • Deliver project to meet timelines and budgets
  • Monitor field productivity against targets
  • Oversee and manage performance of field staff
  • Liaising with clients, consultants, contractors and Design Estimators
  • Compliance with health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements
  • Skills and experience

  • EWRB Registered as Line Mechanic or NZQA Level 4 Electrical Supply Line Mechanic or Live Work Level 5 or equivalent Certificate in First Line Management or Supervision desirable
  • Current practising licence
  • 2+ years Supervisory or people management experience
  • Knowledge and experience in LV and HV distribution and Zone Substations
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Full Class 1 NZ Drivers licence
  • HT licence (advantage)
  • Proven safety culture
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
