About the Role:
In this role, you'll be designing, developing and implementing advanced analytics solutions to drive actionable insights around People for the group. You will transform People Support to be at the leading edge of predictive analytics to drive performance and capability improvements.
You will work closely with business leaders to fully understand and define their key challenges, generate and test hypotheses and design experiments to answer targeted questions. You will define data needs, evaluate data quality and extract/manipulate the data to ensure analysis and insights are accurate, impactful, timely and targeted to address these challenges.
Researching, scoping and adopting global best practice will also be part of this role to ensure we stay at the leading edge of advanced analytics.
Pulling it all together, you will visualise and present findings to the business in clear and understandable way with clear recommendations and actions.
You are passionate about data. You're the type person who gets excited about different and unique data sets and all the ways that they could be used to provide business insight that is relevant and digestible.
You're a story teller, the data is your subject, and you can adjust your story to suit any audience from advanced data geeks like yourself right through the most analytically challenged. You'll likely have a degree in a quantitative discipline like Analytics, Statistics or Mathematics but what's more important is your successful track record in advanced analytics.
You're also great at the following:
- Well versed in predictive analytics, forecasting techniques and machine learning with proven achievements and track record of success.
- Proven experience with various data analytics tools and technologies, eg R, Python, Hadoop, etc
- Expert ability to design and build intuitive and simple interactive visualisations from big data sets using appropriate tools
