Our Shipping team have an opportunity for a Logistics Planner to join the team, reporting to our Shipping Manager this is a full time position based at our Corporate Head Office in Christchurch.

The primary focus of this position will be to ensure loadouts are maximised and inventories minimised as well as minimising ANZCO Foods freight costs for product movement from business units to customers.

Duties and Responsibilities will include :

  • Proactively contributing to the maximisation of stock turn and minimisation of stock on hand and associated costs.
  • Maintaining, communicating and analysing weekly to the sales team a rolling 4 week view of loadout variance to loadout capacity by Plant
  • Managing all aspects of planning container sales originating from ANZCO's network of processing sites
  • Managing day to day Site Logistics, Marketing,and Shipping Company queries and issues received via e-mail and phone
  • Managing vessel reconciliations for sales ensuring amendments are entered into the system within the required cut off timings
  • Various reporting and analysis as required by internal and and external stakeholders
  • Skills and Experience :

  • At least 5 years in a similar position
  • Intermediate knowledge of New Zealand Shipping legislation
  • Knowledge of Uniworks - inventory system (desirable)
  • Knowledge of the meat industry (desired, not essential)
  • Experience within the manufacturing environment (desirable)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
