Our Project Management Office (PMO) needs a well organised, efficient, assertive and resilient Programmer. We are looking for well organised, self-
starter to support our Project team in delivering KiwiRail's their multi-year transformation programme.
Your Role :
As the PMO's Programmer, you will develop and maintain a full programme to support the management of the four strands of our Tourism, Provincial Growth Fund (PGF) programme of works, through to operational readiness and ensure effective integration with the business.
The different strands include : Rolling Stock, Platforms, Reservation Systems and Marketing.
Regularly engaging with our Project Managers, to assist with planning and tracking their individual projects, you will provide oversight and advice as the programming subject matter expert.
You will actively work with the PMs to identify and own risks, driving consistent, high standards of tracking and proactively providing quality, detailed data to the GM / EGM.
Spending time in the detail of the PGF programme and PMO project streams, you will have skin in the game and be able to step up in the absence of the PM.
You will be a committed resource that the PMO can bank on.
Your Skills :
You are an expert programme planner with previous experience gained on large and complex infrastructure / construction projects.
A subject matter expert in the use of project scheduling techniques, you are confident in advising and influencing programme changes to ensure best possible outcomes at a macro level.
You understand and can accurately calculate slack, resource levelling and other programme optimisation techniques. A high-
end user of project management software for producing Gantt charts and tracking progress, you can effectively integrate multiple projects into one over-arching program.
