    About the opportunity

    The Private Client Services team at CR Law is highly regarded for its client service ethos and full service capability across private client work, including property transactions, and review of personal affairs, trusts, wills / estates.

    CR Law is looking for a new Partner to head the Private Client Services team from their Palmerston North office. This is an exceptional opportunity to take ownership of, and lead, a highly effective team, with a view to taking them to the next level using your experience, skill, passion for clients and curiosity about technology innovation.

    About you

    To be successful in this role you’ll either be a current Private Client Partner or a Senior Associate looking for your next opportunity.

    You’ll understand the day-to-day workings of a Private Client team and what levers you can pull to continue to produce high quality work in an effective and efficient manner, with great client service.

    You will be able to demonstrate the ability to lead a team and effectively maintain and build client relationships.

    You will be passionate about a culture of sharing and a team ethos, which defines CR Law and cultural fit.

    You will have at least 8 years post qualification experience in a Private Client or Property team where you will have a proven track record in supervising teams and advising clients on their personal affairs, including :

  • Residential conveyancing
  • Trust & Estate administration
  • Wills & Powers of Attorney
  • Small Business advisory
  • The successful candidate will also have a well-developed capacity to quickly pick-up and maximise technology solutions commonly used in law firms, and a nimbleness to streamline and implement new systems or processes.

    You will have an affinity with regional New Zealand and understand the needs and issues facing a growing region / economy, and its urban and rural communities and businesses.

    You will have a current NZ practising certificate and will have either completed the NZLS Stepping Up course or be willing to complete this as soon as possible.
