The People & Workplace Services group knows that providing a great experience for people at work means they'll deliver excellent services to and for New Zealanders.

  • People & Workplace Services has five teams : People Operations & Policy; People Strategy & Capability; Organisational Resilience;
  • Workplace Services; and Business Partner / Advisory.

    In this interesting and highly autonomous role you will :

  • Partner with and influence senior leaders by providing leadership and insight regarding People and Workplaces, particularly the implementation and embedding of recent organisational changes.
  • Coach, influence and challenge the thoughts and actions of our senior people leaders.
  • Provide insight to People & Workplace Services and wider Enterprise Services about existing services and opportunities and potential future work requirements.
  • Support work to be triaged and resolved by the right teams within People & Workplace Services.
  • Recognise opportunities within business groups and People and Workplace Services for directional change at a strategic and operational level and consider the people impacts of that change and how it supports our organisational direction.
  • You will need to have experience in :

  • Extensive experience in strategic HR partnering with senior leaders, including in the implementation, and embedding of organisational change.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of strategic and operational aspects of a range of HRM disciplines, with the ability to apply these in a senior leadership environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills, including the ability to facilitate, persuade and influence senior leaders and colleagues.
  • Experience of sourcing / brokering people and culture related services with a proven business impact.
