We are looking for a Project Engineer with Electronic Security Systems experience to contribute that is ready for a challenging and complex project!
This is a fixed-term contract role, with a good chance to go to permanent. The role is based in Waikeria (maybe some onboarding and familiarisation in AKL) from mid 2020 early 2022
The Project Engineer will report to the Engineering / Commissioning Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager on the delivery of security projects to which they have been allocated.
You will responsible for coordinating the requirements of various key internal and external partners ranging from Sales, Project Management, Engineering and Service, through to Customers and Customer site employees.
Electronic Security Systems design, implementation, integration and documentation
Identification and assessment of customer needs and specifications on-site and translating into workable solutions
Developing software (configuring PLC), perform bench testing’ if required and deliver commissioning package to the field.
Perform commissioning and assist in the start-up as required.
Sales Assistance, involving innovative use of the newest technology in establishing system design, and providing project estimates
Provide technical direction to project team members, help in planning / scheduling of project execution and Quality Assurance
YOU MUST HAVE
A degree or considerable experience in an Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic or similar Engineering discipline or trade.
A comprehensive understanding of high-end security applications, in particular, CCTV, IPTV / MATV, Intercom, PLC, Access Control and / or Biometrics
Experience in Security Engineering (hardware and software)
Considerable experience in control projects, with extensive on-site knowledge
Capacity to deliver against multiple objectives
Appropriate security clearances need to be obtained for this role to gain access to correctional centres and other security requirements.
