Mō tō mātou rōpū About our team : The Integration team is responsible for establishing and managing the necessary tooling and processes to support conformant and efficient integration development within the Ministry.

We provide a crucial enabling capability within the National Digital Services group to the wider Health Sector as well as Ministry business units and critical work programmes.

Te whainga poto o tēnei tūranga What is the purpose of this position? : We're at a pivotal point for the New Zealand Health System where integration is critical in ensuring the performance and efficient access to national services and datasets.

The Integration team is heavily involved in supporting the Covid technology response and modernisation of business and sector technology and practices.

The Integration Delivery Lead is responsible for managing a team of 10+ engineers, overseeing the development lifecycle of integrations, APIs and supporting capabilities.

The position will drive adherence to and adoption of best practice for technical design, patterns and standards. Ngā Pūkenga me ngā Wheako Skills & Experience :

  • Significant hands on software development experience building web services and APIs in an Agile environment
  • Technical expertise in API and web services and standards particularly FHIR
  • Strong experience in leading and developing the capability of an engineering team
  • Competent managing multi-vendor teams and relationships
  • Superior people skills, with strong relationship building capability
  • Has worked in complex organisations and is adept at communicating with and supporting diverse stakeholders across all levels of the organisation and those outside it.
