We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, creative and organised Communications Advisor to join DOC's Media and Communications team, based in either Wellington, Masterton or Napier.
This exciting, challenging role is part of an engaged national distributed team in a high performing unit.
The role supports the Lower North Island Operations Region (which covers the Kapiti Wellington, Manawatu, Wairarapa, Hawkes Bay, Gisborne and the Chatham Islands).
The role also supports national projects / issues.

The successful candidate will be a flexible self-starter and capable multi-tasker, able to pick up and quickly understand different issues, manage conflicting priorities and get work done quickly to a high standard.
This role requires strong writing skills, a nose for news' and the ability to tell stories. DOC is now breaking its own news through our many traditional and some of our newer digital channels.
Experience working with visual technology, an affinity for cultural storytelling and understanding of marketing would be a bonus.
You will need to be up to the challenge of communicating across a diverse and distributed organisation. Great people skills and the ability to relate well to others will be essential.
This role reports into the National Communications Team Lead.
Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory, including a valid work visa covering the whole period of employment if applying internationally.
