Our client is an engineering specialist delivering specialised services to the energy, infrastructure, and mining industries.

Due to continual growth and contract development they have multiple positions available at all levels for Mechanical Engineers in New Plymouth.

They work with leading owners and operators in the hydrocarbons, minerals and metals, and infrastructure sectors.

The New Plymouth team is one of the largest engineering consultancy’s in the Taranaki area. They have a passionate team, working in an enviable location, close enough to the beach for a lunch time walk.

You will have the opportunity to travel and work on industrial sites across Taranaki, and to work on projects with their Australian teammates.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will :

Deliver project requirements according to agreed schedules consistent with Verbrec and clients quality standards.

Maintain mechanical engineering standards across all projects.

Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and peers.

Recommend improvements to engineering systems and processes.

Continuously develop industry networks and contacts.

Have an opinion, challenge the norm, and provide constructive feedback wherever possible.

You will ideally have :

Experience in a range of mechanical engineering skills, particularly piping and pressure vessel design, and analysis of static equipment.

Experience to carry out mechanical engineering design and documentation from concept through to construction stage.

Experience working in oil and gas facilities or similar heavy or manufacturing industries.

Experience in development, application, and preservation of engineering and design standards, systems and processes.

Experience using PVElite and AutoPIPE or other equivalent design software.

Experience generating engineering estimates and quotations.

The ability to work independently on multiple projects with conflicting deadlines.

A Mechanical or Mechatronics degree or equivalent experience / qualifications (mandatory).
