    Mō te tūnga - About the Role

    Ward25 is a 27 bed unit providing inpatient care for people with a range ofrespiratory conditions. There s lots of variety in our ward and there is greatopportunity to develop your skills with training in areas such as chest drainsand BiPap.

    Ward 25 encourages Nurses with their professional development and issupported by a Nurse Educator to facilitate ongoing learning opportunities.

    While you ll receive a comprehensive orientation and be well supported by othermembers of the team, recent acute medical experience and a focus and commitmentto quality patient care is essential to this role.

    Inthis busy acute environment, you ll need excellent assessment and timemanagement skills. Your excellent communications skills will be pivotal to yoursuccess in this role as you will be engaging and educating patients and theirfamilies to ensure the best possible outcome

    Youwill have demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaborativelywith other professionals. The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solutionfocused.

    We will provide you with a thorough orientation package and ongoingsupport to develop the skills required to work in this exciting specialty.
