Mō te tūnga The role

You will be part of the 2023 Census Programme, supporting various business services including Statistical Locations Register, Address Verification and Manual Intervention.

We are looking for multiple reliable people who are flexible with strong computer literacy skills. As a Statistical and Data Technician you will be part of an experienced, supportive team that processes data.

These newly created roles will provide variety through the rotation of supporting different business services.

Starting salary between $47,461 - $55,837 and negotiable, depending on successful applicants' skills and experience

Fixed term contract, up until November 2022.

Mōu About you

Your broad role as a Data Technician will be to :

  • Understand New Zealand's geography
  • Process data in a timely manner
  • Maintain high quality standards
  • Build connections and work collaboratively
  • Undertake repetitive, repeatable tasks
  • The ideal candidate will have skills and experiences in :

  • Using technology and mapping tools such as Google Maps and ArcGIS Portal
  • Demonstrating excellent levels of decision-making and time management skills
  • Managing and processing large volumes of data across multiple systems
  • Highly committed to meeting deadlines and quality standards
