About the Role

We are looking for a passionate HR early career professional who is looking to make a difference and contribute to the success of our People & Capability team.

Reporting to the HR Manager this 32 hour a week role will have a strong focus on recruitment, HR systems and reporting and is the backbone of the People & Capability team when it comes to all administrative and operational HR support.

We are looking for someone who can provide first level guidance to managers and employees on polices and / or processes and will have the ability to get involved in strategic HR projects that support both our function and wider business priorities.

Taking ownership for process improvements this role will also have a key role in taking the lead on continuous improvement projects with the view that we are operating in the most effective and efficient manner to support our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all contractor recruitment and roles all junior level recruitment across Auckland and regional NZ
  • Support the full end to end recruitment process for all roles across the business by listing and managing all external and internal recruitment advertisements, setting up interviews, initiating psychometric assessments, reference checking & criminal checks
  • Generating contract documentation and variation letters for all new hire and relevant changes / people moves
  • Be the Workday HRIS SME
  • Regular reporting on HR metrics for both the team, internal stakeholders and Executive Leadership Team (ELT)
  • Support with completing internal and external surveys (i.e. remuneration surveys, performance and development, engagement etc.)
  • Administrative support around the management of employee files, SAP processing, managing HR templates and overall management of HR Operations online folders
  • Support with the implementation of annual HR processes such as remuneration reviews, performance processes etc.
  • Support HR Manager / HR Advisor with change management activity such as preparing letters, collating feedback etc.
  • Contribution to HR strategic projects as and when required
  • Lead process improvement activities across the HR Operations Team
  • Initiate and maintenance of onboarding process
  • Checking weekly and monthly payroll files, including being a back up if Payroll Specialist is away
  • Experience

  • Tertiary qualification, with preference towards those having completed a business / HR degree
  • At least 2 years experience in a previous recruitment or HR administrative role
  • Experience with HRIS systems, Workday preferred
  • Experience or exposure to payroll administration and systems
  • Competency with Microsoft suite including Intermediate to advanced Excel skills e.g. pivot tables, V-Look Ups etc.
