  • About the Role

    Our progressive and dynamic Mental Health Service strives to achieve excellence in every facet of its service delivery and we have an opportunity for an experienced Administrator to join the team on a part-time basis.

    As a pivotal member of our team you will be a quick thinker who will be able to deliver effective, confidential and professional support to our staff, providing robust secretarial, clerical and reception services.

  • Responsibilities will be varied and cover reception and office administration duties including but not limited to; liaising with consumers and whanau, data entry and maintenance;
  • keeping records and files up to date, co-ordinate meetings and clinics, assisting clinicians where necessary, coordinating office operations, transcriptions, appointment booking and typing etc.

    Given the nature of the work undertaken in this role and in this environment, it is also an absolute requirement that you understand and can demonstrate clear boundaries with regards to all aspects of privacy.

    About You

    Experience in a busy office and a high level of computer competency, organisational & communication skills, ability to manage multiple deadlines and initiative is, therefore, necessary.

    To be successful in this role you will need to have a pro-active attitude to your work, have great attention to detail, be well organised and have excellent time management skills.

    It is expected applicants will have a mimimum of three years adminstration experience.

    A friendly manner alongside outstanding customer service is a key requirement of this role.

    The salary for this position is in accordance with the DHBs / PSA South Island Administrative Employees Collective Agreement (taking into account the PSA Clerical and Administrative Staff Pay Equity Interim Adjustment, made by Southern DHB on 16 April 2021) and is between $52,080 and $53,536 depending on skills and experience.
