Airtanks Limited is a small, gas cylinder and water leak detection company with big plans. Our line-up includes scuba, paintball, and breathing apparatus cylinders, calibration gas and water leak detection equipment.

We go to market directly, through retailers and through our e-commerce platform. Newly established in 2017, we have already proven our business model to be successful.

Our business requires an energetic, enthusiastic and highly professional sales and marketing person to ensure we continue to grow rapidly in a controlled way.

Our big plans include expanding into overseas markets. We have the knowledge, skills and proven history to achieve this.

The inside sales representative will work independently from our Penrose warehouse, and be supported by, the founder of the company and other key personnel based in Australia.

The inside sales representative will manage all aspects of procurement, operations, logistics, sales and marketing.

Experience in customer service or sales is essential and digital marketing experience is desirable.

We are seeking a bright and dedicated person capable of successfully running the business with efficiency, energy and very high levels of customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate is an achievement oriented and organised self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, start-up / entrepreneurial environment.

Positivity and a can-do attitude are essential.

Position Description :

Position : Inside sales representative

Location : Penrose, Auckland

Salary : $45,000 pa Plus bonus capped at $10,000 if targets are met.

Employment Type : Full Time

Hours : Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm with a little flexibility

Working from home : Is not an option

Overall Position Objective

The inside sales representative objective is to support sales strategies to grow the business with a stronger online presence.

Continuing Position Duties

  • The operations side of the business includes unpacking and reconciling shipments, valving cylinders, arranging third party inspections and packing and shipping orders.
  • The inside sales representative will work independently and be capable of following existing procedures.

  • All quotes, opportunities and leads will be entered and followed up in our CRM system by the inside sales representative.
  • The inside sales representative will contact potential new clients, prepare and send out marketing newsletters and assist the Director with travel and meeting schedules.
  • Relationship

    1. Reports to the Managing Director.

    2. Collaborates closely with suppliers in Taiwan, Philippines, Australia and USA and market managers in the Australian team.

    Accountability

    1. Responsible for most operational and functional responsibilities and projects as assigned and the successful execution thereof.

    2. Direct responsibility for developing marketing mailouts, CRM, presentations and price lists.

    3. Maintain a strong social media presence.

    Qualifications and Requirements :

    1. Experience and strength in technical sales. A demonstrated understanding of the sales process and the importance of ensuring we supply the customer with what they want! Ensuring our supply complies with legal and safety requirements.

    2. The ability to successfully demonstrate technical products and close sales.

    3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of company and third party executives, managers, and subject matter experts.

    4. Reliability, high level of personal presentation, self-motivation, energy, enthusiasm and OCD attention to detail.

    5. Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.

    6. Strong research, presentation development and delivery skills.

    7. Experience in an internal-sales role will be highly regarded.

    8. Willingness to work in an industrial environment, the inside sales representative?s work station is in a large warehouse without windows.

    9. Willingness to participate in occasional paintball competitions and get bruised and hammered!

    10. Willingness to promote the business at key events held periodically on weekends.

    11. Willingness to take up paintball and scuba diving as a hobby.

    12. Willingness to assist customers with demonstrations and training of water leak detection equipment when required.

    13. Great IT skills with ability to maintain Shopify and Wordpress websites.
