Rail Track Alignment Designer / Engineer The Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity to join a high performing team where you can use your track alignment design experience to support the creation and improvement of the rail network across New Zealand.
We have several Rail Track Alignment Designer / Engineer positions available in our growing rail business. Using your rail track alignment technical design expertise, you will work closely with our key partners, clients and other designers to create infrastructure that is robust, resilient and safe.
You will be responsible for designing the geometric track alignment for various types of rail projects and work within a multi-disciplinary team to prepare technical documentation from concept through to detailed design.
The opportunity is available in all the main cities of NZ and can be either part-time or full-time. About you You will have several years hands-on geometric design experience working on rail engineering and / or transit projects.
You possess a sound understanding of the operation and maintenance of metro rail systems as well as longer regional rail lines.
You’ll be a strong communicator, with experience in a client facing environment and be great at working alongside and coaching others.
We are looking for an innovative thinker with problem solving skills. Experience working for an engineering consultancy or within the rail sector is an asset.
