Permanent Full TimeLocation : Auckland Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the RoleWorking as part of a close-knit team you will be responsible for providing Business Support to the Biosecurity New Zealand Directorate.

This is a permanent fulltime contract.Some of your core day to day duties will involve the following :

  • Receiving and processing mail
  • Finance administration
  • Records and File Management
  • Event and meeting room management
  • Assisting with other Biosecurity Support functions (including reception duties)
  • Booking travel for staff when neededThis role is an office based position and working from home is unfortunately not an option.
  • This is an exciting role to work closely within the team and be the first point of contact for our stakeholders.The salary range for this role is banded H which is between $50k and $60k depending on skills and experience of the successful applicant.

  • A high level of organizational skills, the ability to deliver on time and solve problems as they arise.   • The Biosecurity business unit has a critical role in preventing harmful organisms crossing New Zealand's borders. It manages border and compliance activities as well as preparing for, and responding to, any biosecurity incursions that may occur.

    The branch also manages MPI's centralised intelligence, planning and co-ordination group which was established to manage food, biosecurity and animal welfare response consistently and effectively.
