About the role Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
The rolewill be reporting to the LifeKeepers Senior Manager for this portfolio and will involve avariety of activities. For example, project management, workshop facilitation, online technical support, reporting and stakeholder engagement.
The role will also include supporting thewhole of Le Va activities.
FULL-TIMEPERMANENT role working 40 hours per week on Monday Friday. Thisposition is based in Manukau, South Auckland.
The primary function of this roleis to support the LifeKeepers, Senior Manager and team to develop and deliver Aotearoa,New Zealand’s national suicide prevention programme.
For the Senior ProjectCoordinator, this means leading specific projects within the LifeKeepers andwider Le Va team and meeting the required performance standard.

You will be passionate about enhancing Māori wellbeing, by supporting mental health and eliminating inequities, andpoor outcomes for Māori communities.
You will have the skills, knowledge,and experience to inspire and manage. You will have strong administrative skills, and will be able to complete reporting,develop work plans and delegate, independently manage projects, facilitateeducation and training, and effectively engage both young and senior members ofthe Māori, Pasifika, and NZ communities.
Essential :
Relevant tertiary qualification
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in mental health field or similar
Five plus years of experience working with Māori communities
Experience in programme and workshop facilitation and delivery
Expert level experience in project-management and time-management skills, including strong administrative and computer skills
Proven experience, knowledge and skills in programme design, development, delivery, and evaluation
A high level of Te Ao Māori competency
Intermediate to high level of reo Māori
Proven knowledge and skills in working with Māori communities
Demonstrable experience in report writing
Comfortable working in the areas of mental health, disability, suicide, and sexual violence prevention
Demonstrable practice of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles
Current full, clean New Zealand driver’s license and flexibility to travel nationally with ease
Ability to work outside of normal work hours where required
Experience in programme and workshop facilitation and delivery
Possesses a strong value base that supports inclusive ways of working with people from diverse cultural groups
Preferred
Relevant Tertiary Qualification in a related field.
Experience in community or social sectors.
Research and / or evaluation experience and skills.
