    Our Communications & Engagement team is focused on protecting our valued reputation while shouting a little more from the rooftops.

    We want our people to receive simple and engaging communications that also ensure they feel heard; and we'll amplify across the country all the great work our people do day in as we play our part to make New Zealand communities stronger, safer, better.

    Our Director of Communications and Engagement (C&E) is looking for someone with the initiative to tackle daily tasks and work with autonomy, energy and drive.

    This position offers support to the Director C&E to enable successful execution of their role through coordination of organisational initiatives and processes.

    This is a permanent, part time role.

    You must have the ability to multi-task, plan and manage priorities to ensure deadlines are met. You will be assisting and liaising members of the C&E team, the St John Executive Leadership Team and a number of internal and external stakeholders so your ability to converse with a range of people is essential.

    Key responsibilities include :

  • Diary and email management, meeting preparation and travel arrangements and general administration support
  • Awareness of key activities and appointments and to anticipate needs
  • Manage and or coordinate project work
  • Support the planning and management of key internal and external events to ensure they're delivered to a high standard
  • Draft and distribute communications
  • Assist with report compilation and preparing presentation in a timely manner to meet all deadlines
  • We are looking for proven EA or PA with experience at a senior level with superior communication and organisational skills.

    You will need to be highly competent in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, along with the ability to pick up new systems with ease.
