There is focus on the management and delivery of client engagements, business development while maintaining exceptional client service.

Via this opportunity you will lead high-performing teams, provide coaching and support on both technical and soft skills.

You will influence clients and teams, aligning people to objectives and setting priorities and direction. As a Manager, you will demonstrate and develop your capabilities in the following areas :

  • Managing and executing client engagements. That includes but no limited to scoping, delivering and reporting.
  • Ability to advise clients on establishing or improving end-to-end risk management systems, processes, and frameworks to enhance strategic alignment with business goals, enable effective decision making and response, and monitor regulatory compliance.
  • Lead teams to establish, develop and improve high-performing Internal audit functions.
  • Advise clients on how to manage risk across change and transformation
  • Building strong working relationships with clients and colleagues;
  • Use a data driven approach to help clients understand areas of risk and improve the effectiveness of key functions
  • Ability to build an in-depth knowledge of the client’s business and stay up-to-date on industry activities, marketplace trends, innovation efforts, and leading practices
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of engagement economics to profitability deliver client engagements.
  • Ability to plan and oversee execution of comprehensive operational risk management transformations to enable achievement of strategic objectivesThe locationAuckland is rated one of the most liveable city in the world globally evaluated on factors such as personal safety, environment, education, transportation and health.
  • Our largest office is in Auckland and offers all our services including audit, tax, technology & systems, strategy, performance improvements, risk management, corporate finance, business recovery, forensics, accounting services and the majority of our internal services team with more than 400 staff from New Zealand and around the world.

  • 4-5 years’ experience in a similar role in a big 4, consulting or internal audit environment
  • Strong knowledge of Internal Audit, Risk and Governance frameworks, Performance, Controls, and Assurance
  • Experience of managing and delivering complex audit, risk and governance engagements for large organisations;
  • Experienced within the Public Sector / FSI / Banking / Energy industries a major advantage
  • CIA / CA / CISA qualified will be an advantage.
  • Tertiary qualification preferably with a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in accounting, management information systems and / or computer science
  • Self driven, focused on developing others and the practice
  • Ability to influence clients and internal stakeholders
