The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Consultant within our Technology Risk team for both our Auckland and Wellington offices. This role is offered on a flexible full time basis.

In this role you will be responsible for managing the client delivery and stakeholder relations.

Your key responsibilities

  • Participate in IT Assurance, Internal Audit and Programme Assurance engagements - including evaluating and designing IT controls (such as application and IT general controls), assessing Project and Programme practices, and assessing IT processes against leading practice IT risk and security frameworks and global standards (such as ISAE 3402, CoBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001 / 02).
  • Collaborate with your team and clients to identify key risks associated with IT governance, information security, systems and project change, and IT operations and make suggestions to assist clients in managing these risks.
  • Work as part of a supportive and collaborative team providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports for clients and other stakeholders.
  • Mentor and support the growth of junior team members.

  • Use knowledge of the current IT environment and industry trends to identify engagement and client service issues, and communicate this information to the engagement team and client management through written correspondence and verbal presentations.
  • Ideally, you'll also have

    A passion for emerging technologies and working within a team to advise clients on how to manage IT risks and accelerate performance.

  • The ability to inspire teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members and use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of deliverables and services.
  • Professional certifications - CISSP, CISM, and / or CISA.
  • Previous Big4 or other consulting experience.
