Our City Dental at Quay Park, Aucklandpractice is looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join their team on a full-time capacity (39 hours per week) for the below days and hours :

  • Monday : 11.30am - 8.00pm
  • Tuesday : 11.30am - 8.00pm
  • Wednesday : 11.30am - 8.00pm
  • Thursday : 11.30am - 8.00pm
  • Friday : 7.30am - 3.00pm
  • Dental Assistants (DAs) are an absolutely critical part of any practice. In this busy, challenging, and demanding role, you'll work closely with a Clinician to deliver excellent patient outcomes.

    You take a leading role in ensuring our patients are happy and healthy and deliver a world-class patient experience every day.

    It goes without saying that the safety of our patients and teams is paramount, so you'll also take a leading role in delivering best practice sterilisation and infection control.

    Having a natural ability to make patients feel comfortable and at ease is important as a Dental Assistant as you will take the lead in the customer relationship.

    You will also assist reception with any patient recalls and appointment bookings as necessary. You will have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), be well presented, flexible with your time and be reliable.

    Being able to pick up extra shifts to cover sick leave and annual leave is a bonus.

    To be successful in this role, you will have :

  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant (or International Clinical Experience) is essential.
  • Previous experience with Exact software is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to demonstrate confident communication.
  • Outstanding customer relationship care skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • The ability to work well in a team and adapt to different working styles.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and be able to work well under pressure.
