Revenue Assurance have got two roles available as a Senior Customs Officer in our Trade Assurance team based in Auckland.
The Trade Assurance team manages Customs' revenue audit programme, providing assurance to Government over the accuracy of both the revenue and data we collect from importers, exporters and excise manufacturers.
The Unit provides that assurance by undertaking post clearance (after goods have left Customs control) risk-based audits and verifications checks on importers, exporters, excise customers and declarants acting on behalf of those bodies.
We manage three separate audit sub-programmes : import, export and excise.You work with some of Aotearoa's largest companies, meeting with executives and management, advising on Customs and legislative requirements regarding their import and export activity.
