As a Design Consultant in the Professional Services team, you will be working with Senior and Principal Consultants across internal and customer-facing projects of a large / medium size or high / medium degree of complexity and owning smaller pieces of project work end to end.
In addition, you will perform technical analysis and hands-on technical tasks as part of assigned projects.
You will use your expertise to deliver high quality consultancy and design, and to participate in customer architecture and design reviews.
You will work collaboratively with other members of the Professional Services team as well as other Engineering teams sharing responsibility for all aspects of Solution Design, Development and Support.
You will also support the sales teams promoting Spark services to our customers.
Given the types of customers that Spark supports you will need to be eliable for and attain Security Clearances.

WHAT YOU'RE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Providing specialist advice, technical direction and consultancy to clients both internally and externally
Contributing to and writing technical proposals, design documents and Statements of Work
Responsible for analysing, designing, scheduling, and constructing solutions either independently or with the support of Senior members of the team
Building and maintaining contacts and relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities through pre and post sales activities
Working collaboratively with Domain Principals, Principal Consultants and Senior Consultants within the SDE community to ensure that complete, seamless, and end to end integration of technology solutions occurs, leveraging re-usable capability where appropriate
Evaluating current processes and making necessary improvements and changes.
WHAT SKILLS & EXPERIENCE YOU NEED
At least 5 years of industry experience
Ability to demonstrate a high degree of technical proficiency
Understanding of business drivers for technology solutions
Strong ability to communicate technical solutions
Customer service orientation and approach
Design thinking as opposed to break fix mentality
Proven ability to diagnose and resolve difficult or complex problems
Ability to write reports, technical proposals and design documents
Analysis and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal and consultative skills
Attainment of industry related qualifications or certifications in technologies such as Checkpoint / Cisco / Fortinet / F5 / SIEM technologies etc.
Has experience delivering Security solutions involving technologies such as firewalls, networking, load balancers, email, Internet browing, end point protection, Security Event Management etc
Preferably has experience working in a managed service provider organisation
