This is an exciting time to join MPI and a fantastic opportunity to join our friendly and hardworking payroll team. This is a fixed term full time position until September 2020 to backfill an employee who has moved into project work.
The Role :
The purpose of the Payroll Advisor is to work as part of the payroll team to process the payroll ensuring that all employees are paid in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with relevant terms and conditions of employment and legislation.
We do things a little differently here at MPI working in partnership with an outsourced solution. This particular role is pivotal to the success of the team by ensuring the data we send to our outsourced payroll provider is correct, up to date and on time.
We operate a fortnightly pay cycle and pay approximately 3000 permanent and fixed term employees located throughout New Zealand.
We look continuously for improvement opportunities for processes completed by payroll and this role will contribute to that.

The Responsibilities :
The Candidate :
You'll be an experienced Payroll Advisor / Administrator with a background in administering a large and busy payroll function with experience of processing a payroll and associated administration.
You will have a high degree of integrity with the ability to work with sensitive data and maintain trust and confidentiality.
Your passion for people and strong interpersonal and communications skills will be brought into effect daily to engage and support employees at all levels within the organisation.
You'll be well organised with excellent time management skills and have the ability to prioritise and work on own initiative.
We're looking for a team player with a can do' attitude who enjoys working with data in a busy, small and collaborative team.
